How often should a fire alarm be tested?

Weekly user tests by the responsible person, six-monthly or annual servicing by a competent contractor. We can provide a service agreement.

What category do I need?

Depends on the building and use. We design to BS 5839 and document why the chosen category is appropriate.

Do you supply log books?

Yes, we supply a fire alarm and emergency-lighting log book with every new installation, pre-filled for the user tests.

Will a fault shut my site?

We aim to leave the system operational in every case. Genuine L1/L2 work may require temporary compensating measures, which we co-ordinate.
